North Wales' Rainbow Hospitals - Ysbyty'r Enfys have been established to play a key role in the Health Board’s response to the Covid-19 pandemic.
In Llandudno, the hospital at Venue Cymru will be able to accommodate up to 350 patients recovering from the Covid-19 virus and Betsi Cadwaladr Health Board are looking for Volunteer Coordinators to help assist with the operation.
The Health Board is deploying clinical and non-clinical staff to Ysbyty Enfys to meet the needs of patients. They are also seeking to build a team of volunteers to support patient care within the site. These volunteers will be part of the wider team supporting patients and will be on site from 8am to 8pm, 7 days a week.
Currently the team in Llandudno are in the planning and commissioning phase and working to be able to admit patients to the site from the beginning of May.
Volunteers will have an important role in the preparation of the hospital and in supporting patients when the hospital becomes operational.
To recognise the need, Coordinators will be appointed to organise and support the volunteers and to link with third sector organisations in the community. To cover the extended working day, 2.5 full time Coordinators will be required. These Coordinator posts are key and they will be working closely with the Hospital Management Team.

Ideally, you will currently be working within a local third sector organisation and have experience in the recruitment and allocation of volunteers, in supporting them and in linking with other agencies and organisations.
You will be seconded to this role with the agreement of your employer, for an initial period of 6 weeks. Those with relevant experience will be invited to attend for an interview at the site on the morning of Friday 24th April 2020, with a view to commencing in the role from the week commencing 27th April.
