September 02, 2024 - 1349 views

Conwy Council will soon be commencing work to improve the car park on the Llanfairfechan Promenade,

This project starts on Monday 9 September 2024 and is expected to finish at the end of November, depending on the weather.

A spokesperson for the council said: "We are refurbishing the promenade car park, including improving drainage, resurfacing and line painting, and installing electric vehicle charging points.

"Our contractors will work 8am to 4.30pm (3.30pm on Fridays), weekdays only They will need space to work, therefore the promenade car park will be fully closed some of the time during the work. When it is possible, there will be limited parking spaces available.

"Station Road car park will be used as a site compound to store materials. This means part of Station Road car park will be closed. A section of the road opposite the car park entrance will not be available for parking, so that work vehicles can turn.

"We will maintain access for Station Road residents to use their communal bins and for residents of Mona View, Plas Gwyn and Menai Bank.

"If you have a vehicle in either car park, please move your vehicle by 8am Monday 9 September so the contractor can set up. There will be access to local businesses and along the promenade in both directions."

If you have questions about the site or the work, please call Gerallt Hughes (Project Manager) at MWT Civil Engineering on 01492 330770.
