The 30 Hour Childcare Offer for Wales will be extended across Conwy County from January 2019.

Applications can now be submitted for children born between September 2014 and December 2015.

Pilot schemes have been running in the area including Llanddulas since September and following their success, will now be extended to cover the whole county.

When it’s rolled-out across the county in January, the offer will provide 30 hours of Welsh Government-funded early education and childcare to eligible working parents of 3 and 4 year olds for 48 weeks of the year.

Cllr Garffild Lewis, Conwy’s Cabinet Member for Education, said, “I’m delighted to be able to reveal that the scheme is being rolled-out across the County.  I fully support the scheme and believe it will help to address many of the childcare issues identified over the last few years in our urban and rural areas.”

Conwy County Borough Council has been working in partnership with Anglesey and Gwynedd Councils to develop the Childcare Offer for Conwy families.
