Colwyn Bay have the chance to move into the top five of the JD Cymru North with a game in hand on the teams above them when Porthmadog visit the 4 Crosses Arena on Saturday (2:30pm kick off).
Porthmadog, after winning promotion to the JD Cymu North, are currently third on goal difference having had two wins and one defeat in their three league games so far, but the Bay, on the back of last week’s 6-1 victory at Holywell, will leapfrog them if they can open their home league programme with three points.
Craig Papirnyk’s side come into the game after an impressive 3-0 away win at Penrhyncoch last weekend. Former Colwyn Bay and Llanrwst striker Callum Parry and last year’s top scorer Rhys Alun are major goal threats up front and already have five goals between them, while Meilir Williams is a dangerous attacker down the right flank.
The Seagulls, who have shown they have good strength in depth in their unbeaten start to the campaign, will also want to take advantage of dropped points in Friday night’s top five clash between Llandudno (2nd) and Cefn Druids (5th) as they look to stay on the tails of current league leaders Buckley Town (three wins out of three ahead of their a visit to Holyhead Hotspur on Saturday).
