Colwyn Bay came from behind to end Llanidloes Town's unbeaten league record with a 3-2 and were close to getting a second, but home victory.

The visitors made a strong start and led after five minutes through Connor Bird's close range effort and were  close to getting a second, while the Bay suffered another early injury blow with Llyr Morris having to go off after having an earlier effort saved.

However, substitute Sam Jones made a big impact when he came on and after shooting just wide, he was brought down in the area for Robbie Parry to equalise from the penalty spot on 31 minutes

Parry and Jones both had shots saved by Llanidloes keeper Evans before half-time, by which time Bay had also lost Morgan Ashworth through injury, but five minutes into the second half Tom McCready beat two defenders to slot home Bay's second from another Sam Jones assist.

Seven minutes later  Jack Higgins made it 3-1 after Jones flicked on a McCready corner. McCready was also narrowly off target with a curling effort.

Llanidloes who had earlier hit the post from a free kick and missed a good chance when clean through, got a goal back late on, but the Bay held on to take their first home points of the campaign and move into the top five of the table.
