Colwyn Bay FC's Chairman Neil Coverley has sent a heartfelt message to fans, supporters and players ahead of the start of the new club season.
Another season is nearly upon us and there is great anticipation ahead of the new JD Cymru North campaign.
I would firstly like to thank everyone who has joined the Registered Supporters scheme for the 2022/23 season.
The response has been fantastic and just goes to show that we are blessed to have such a passionate and supportive fan base and the income from the scheme gets reinvested in the club.
Plenty has gone on during the close season on and off the pitch. Off the pitch repair work has been carried out at the ground while work has been carried out on the pitch over the summer.
I’d like to thank Brian and Dave Titchiner for the continued support and physical work they’ve both done over the past few months. I’d also like to thank fellow board members Dilwyn Roberts and Brian Madden as well as Chris Hughes, who I’m pleased accepted a role on the board during the summer.
Bob Paton and Dave Messom have also contributed massively in assisting the club – many thanks to all.
A huge thanks to all juniors and academy staff and volunteers. Both set-ups continue to grow and improve and form the very foundations of this club.The new kits by Hope + Glory and designed by our digital partners Yellow Fly Design have proved a massive hit and it’s brilliant to see so many shirts worn during pre-season. And while on the subject of shirts a big thank you to our kit manager John Ashley for his hard work during the summer.
Steve and team has been busy assembling the first team squad for the new campaign, with the majority of last season’s squad retained and joined by some impressive new recruits – a big welcome to them.
Pre-season performances have been encouraging but the real test begins now. It promises to be an exciting season and like you, I can’t wait.
