Colwyn Bay FC have announced that manager Craig Hogg as agreed terms with 18- year-old local midfield prospect Morgan Owen.
Morgan was a member of Llandudno's development squad before signing for Glan Conwy, where he lives, and helping them to become Division Two champions in the Welsh Alliance this season.
Craig said: "Assistant manager Mark Orme has worked with Morgan recently and has also followed his progress very closely. Both Mark and I feel that he has a great deal of potential.
"We met with Morgan and his father this week and together we all feel that Colwyn Bay is the right environment for the young man, especially at this stage of his football development.
"The plan now is to aid Morgan with his football education and to see what personal targets he can achieve whilst he is in our care.
"We hope that he will benefit from the consistent training programme we have here within our first team set up and that he will also benefit from working with the other players we have here now.
"I’m pleased he’s now part of our first team squad and I’m really looking forward to working with him."
