The Seagulls have beaten the transfer deadline to sign striker James Kirby in time for Friday's Welsh Cup game away to Gresford Athletic.
The 25-year-old moved to Salford City from Conference side Hyde United as a 17-year-old and has also had spells with Atherton Collieries, Leek Town and most recently at City of Liverpool.
Bay manager Craig Hogg commented: "We are very pleased to bring James to the club.
"James was a deadline day signing who was confirmed very late in the day and I'm really happy to get it over the line and to working with him.
"He is a powerful centre forward, who at 25 years of age, clearly has a lot of experience of NPL football within the English pyramid.
"I'm sure those experiences and the qualities he has will be much benefit to us here at Colwyn Bay.
"James will be eligible for selection for the FAW Cup game away to Gresford on Friday night, with international clearance secured."
