Colwyn Bay was once again awarded a magnificent Gold in this year’s Wales in Bloom competition at the Awards ceremony which took place on Friday, 3rd October.
A single point in the Large Town Category was the difference between being awarded the title and runner up position.
This year Colwyn Bay was in the latter position. Chair of Colwyn on Bloom, Ingrid Lewis said: “Colwyn in Bloom is justifiably proud of its record in this prestigious National Competition - the town has won this prestigious award over twenty times.
“The Colwyn in Bloom team has continued to innovate and to develop its business plan. It has introduced a number of exciting new initiatives embracing climate change and biodiversity throughout the year.
“The team always works in close partnership with the wider community, business community, public and voluntary sectors to ensure that the area is attractive for our local residents and visitors to the area.”
As Chair of Colwyn in Bloom, I wish to thanks everyone involved for their continued support and hard work and look forward to starting the next blooming campaign.”
