Colwyn Bay takes on the title chasers this weekend

December 11, 2019 - 1080 views

The Seagulls face another big challenge on Saturday when they travel to title hopefuls Flint Town United bidding to end their eight-match winning run in the JD Cymru North.

That has put them within just wo points of league leaders Prestatyn Town, the last team to beat them in the league back in early October, and their good form continued with an excellent 2-0 home win over  Premier Division side Bala Town in the JD Welsh Cup last weekend - a victory that sets up a fourth round tie against Colwyn Bay at the end of January,

Prolific Flint, who have former Bay stalwart Danny Andrews in their squad, have already scored over 50 league and cup goals this  season, with Mark Cadwallader leading the way with an impressive 18, while Richie Foulkes and Callum Bratley are also in double figures.

The Bay will need to check Damien Ketley's injury, that has kept him out of the last two games, but Owen Morgan could be involved after having a run out with the Reserves last weekend and scoring two goals after several weeks out with an ankle injury.
