Generous and caring revellers came out in force to raise a fantastic sum for Tŷ Gobaith and Hope House Children's hospices.
Hosted at the Trearddur Bay Hotel, Anglesey the glitzy and fun Black Tie Ball raised £18,000.
Organised by Miss Wales finalist Ellie Corcoran and mother Joanne, the event saw a bumper auction of donated prizes such as holidays go under the hammer by Melfyn Williams of Williams & Goodwin Estate Agents, live entertainment, a fun casino and fantastic food.
Over 100 guests turned out in their finest attire to enjoy the evening with Joanne saying: “Wow, we are so thrilled to have raised this much and can’t thank all the amazing local businesses and guests who contributed enough.
“The venue looked stunning and the bidding for our lots was both keen and very generous with other donations flooding in too.
“It was great to have Nikki from Tŷ Gobaith come along and give a talk – it really reminded everyone what it was all for and what a wonderful cause it really is.”
It was Ellie and Joanne’s third event of its kind for the hospice, but the pair have also raised further funds in the past.
Tŷ Gobaith area fundraiser, Nikki Jones said: “What a great night and wonderful total raised – we are blown away.
“The incredible heart and community spirit shown on Anglesey is amazing and every penny raised will go straight to our mission of helping every local child and family living with a life-threatening condition to thrive and live their best lives.
“Thank you so much to everybody involved in making it a great success.”
