Residents in Penrhynside have been left without water or experiencing extremely low water pressure for more than six days, prompting calls for urgent action from local Senedd Member Janet Finch-Saunders.
The disruption affected homes across the village last week, with residents reporting ongoing difficulties accessing a reliable water supply.
According to information provided by Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water, the problem is believed to be linked to a pump that requires replacement. However, residents have reportedly not been given a clear indication of when the fault will be repaired.
Janet Finch-Saunders, Member of the Senedd for Bangor, Conwy and Môn, has called on Dŵr Cymru to provide an urgent update on the situation and explain what support is available to those affected.
She said she was "deeply concerned" by reports from residents who have found it increasingly difficult to cope without a dependable water supply.
Ms Finch-Saunders said: "I am deeply concerned by this situation and by reports from residents that it is becoming increasingly difficult for them to manage without a reliable water supply. Access to running water is an essential service.
"It is vital that Dŵr Cymru provides residents with a clear timeframe for when this fault will be repaired and sets out what support is available while they remain without a reliable water supply."
The Senedd Member said she had written to Dŵr Cymru about the issue last week and had also called for a review of how the incident has been handled.
She added: "I have also called on them to investigate the handling of this incident and to ensure that residents are kept fully informed and properly supported during any future disruption."
The water company has indicated that the fault is linked to infrastructure serving the area, but residents are continuing to await confirmation of when a full service will be restored.
