Consider a PIR alarm says officers after Kings Road break in

North Wales Police have stressed the importance of considering a reasonably priced intruder detector after a recent local break in.

Following the theft of items from a garage on Kings Road in Colwyn Bay, officers have suggested that residents may consider fitting a PIR alarm which detects the movement of anyone who breaks in or enters your property without permission.

The alarms which are available for not more than £20-30 are easily available from DIY shops such as B&Q and Wilko and could be a wise investment for anyone who has any item of significant value stored in their garage or shed.

With cycles, sports equipment and tools totalling many thousands of pounds, a £20 alarm could provide reassurance to many residents especially as low-level crime increases during the lighter nights in the spring and summer months.
