Conwy Parkrun is temporarily ceasing their events due to ongoing work on their route.

The incredibly popular activity, which forms part of a network of running events across the UK, operates a course around RSPB in Llandudno Junction. Due to work in the location, organisers have had no alternative other than to pause meetings there until the summer.

The last event before racing stopped was on Saturday. A total of 312 runners and walkers participated, with 26 achieving personal bests.

Andrew Moore and Cara Scott were the first place finishers for men and women, respectively. Paul Comis completed his 394th parkrun, and Ffion Ellis and Jemma Hughes reached their 25th parkrun milestone.

The volunteer event team are encouraging people to visit other parkruns. The work is expected to be completed by June.
