A new Mobile Testing Unit has opened in Colwyn Bay to help residents get Covid tests closer to home.
In response to rising cases across Wales and particularly in the county of Conwy, the unit has been set up to quickly serve local people with walk in tests if they are suffering from Covid-19 symptoms or wish to confirm a lateral flow test result which may be positive.
The unit which is situated at Ysgol Nant-y-Groes on Greenfield Road is open form 8am-5pm, 7 days a week and no appointment is neccessary.
If you don't have symptoms but wish to test yourself, you should instead collect a lateral flow testing kit from a number of Conwy locations including the James Barr Tennis Centre in Eirias Park. Other locations include the Swimming Pool in Llandudno and the leisure centres in Llandudno Junction and Abergele.
It is suggested that people who cannot work from home or may be active in the community, should aim to regularly lateral flow test to contain the spread of the virus. If a positive result is found, people should head immediately to their closest Mobile Testing Unit for confirmation and further instructions.
