RNLI volunteer Calum Darling has passed an important assessment, moving closer to joining the inshore lifeboat crew at the Llandudno Lifeboat station.
Callum has been showing dedication since 2024, balancing his volunteer work with managing a number of local businesses.
The Tier 1 pass-out is a rigorous practical and theoretical assessment that tests a volunteer’s readiness to operate as part of an ILB crew. Coastal trainer Simon Bunting oversaw the session, ensuring Calum met the high standards required for frontline service.
With Tier 1 behind him, Calum will now begin the next phase. Tier 2 training, which brings him one step closer to full operational status on the inshore lifeboat team.
