Discounter Lidl sets its sights on new North Wales locations

Lidl the German-owned budget supermarket, has announced plans to open 40 more stores across the UK this year, including locations in North Wales.

This expansion is part of a £500 million investment and reflects Lidl's ambition to reach 1,000 stores in Britain.

The company is considering various locations for the new stores, including high street, retail park and town centre sites.

On the company's hit list are locations in Caernarfon, Flint, Abergele, Rhyl and Llandudno.
