West Conwy’s Clear, Hold, Build (CHB) team intensified its focus on disrupting crime throughout last week.

Following the execution of two successful drug warrants in the Llandudno area days earlier, CHB officers made two high priority arrests at an address in Old Colwyn.

One of the arrested males was sought for failing to attend court, while the second was wanted on recall to prison.
A man suspected of involvement with drug supply was detained and searched by CHB officers.

The male was found to be in possession of a quantity of cocaine and a significant sum of cash.

A search of the man’s property revealed thousands of pounds in cash and quantities of prescribed medication.

This man was arrested for drug supply offences and has currently been released under investigation, pending further enquiries.

On Thursday, 3 July, officers located a wanted male on Mostyn Street, Llandudno. He was swiftly arrested and conveyed to custody. Soon afterwards, officers also stopped a vehicle that was being driven without insurance. A drug swipe of the driver followed, yielding a positive result for cannabis and cocaine.

Prior to his arrest and his vehicle being seized, the male was also found to be in possession of cannabis whilst driving.

On Friday, 4 July, a male sought in connection with domestic violence offences was then located and taken into custody by attending officers.

Chief Inspector Trystan Bevan said: “The ongoing successes of our Clear, Hold, Build team are a testament to our proactive approach in tackling persistent criminality and protecting our communities.

“Over the past week alone in West Conwy, CHB officers have played a vital role in removing repeat offenders from our streets—whether through targeted arrests, proactive stop searches, or high-visibility patrols.

“Their swift action has led to the recovery of illegal drugs, large sums of cash, and the apprehension of individuals wanted for serious offences, including domestic violence and failure to appear in court.

“This work not only disrupts criminal networks but also sends a clear message: we will not tolerate those who seek to harm or exploit our communities. The CHB initiative continues to prove its value in making our neighbourhoods safer and more resilient."
