Conwy Voluntary Services Council in Colwyn Bay have just revealed details of the Voluntary Sector Emergency Funds which it will be administering locally.
The £25,000 pot from Welsh Government will be spent supporting the voluntary and charitable sector in Conwy County in an number of different fields. These include:
- Getting supplies needed to people
- Building community resilience
- Helping people/organisations to diversify / develop new or improve existing skills
- Purchase of technology to support changing service delivery
- Supporting community action/groups to remain economically stable
- Increasing access to supplies and services to those who need them the most
- Improving the health/welfare outcomes for marginalised groups
- Ensuring information is accessible to all
- Tackling Social isolation caused by self isolation
- Maintain or increase activities that support the vulnerable during the Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic
- Ensure third sector/voluntary sector organisations have the resources needed to deliver vital services for their communities
- Encourage stringent health & safety protocols during all activities that safeguard third/voluntary sector staff, volunteers and beneficiaries

Organisations must operate within Conwy and be a not for profit/charity/social enterprise.
They will require a written constitution/ a set of rules/governing document and will need to have a bank or building society account (in the name of the organisation) with a minimum of two signatories in place before applying for a grant.
