Colwyn Bay's Under-19s Development squad play their first home game in the Cymru Premier Development League North tomorrow Sunday August 15th when Prestatyn Town are the visitors to the 4 Crosses Arena (2pm kick off).

The squad will be hoping to follow up what was a great start to their campaign with last weekend's 3-2 away win at Bala Town.

Entry for spectators on Sunday is free and the bar and cafe will be open

Manager Matt Sampson commented: "We had a fantastic result against Bala, but that has gone now. I say to my players every result lasts 24 hours. Enjoy it, process it and then let it go.

"We've worked really hard in training again this week and we know that Prestatyn are likely to press and come at us. Since Jamie Reed has come in they have had a few impressive performances.

"But our lads know what to do and how to do it. and I'm looking forward to seeing a few fans there for our first ever game."

First team manager Craig Hogg says his side cannot afford to feel sorry for themselves as they travel to Penrhyncoch today on the back of two successive home defeats.

The Bay lost 2-0 in their last visit to Cae Baker in the 2019/20 season and Craig knows his injury-hit side will need to be fully focused on what will be a tough game.

"I've got a lot of respect for Penrhyncoch," he said. "I know their manager and some of their players and I know exactly what it is going to be like down there."
