Five more people have died in Wales in the last 24 hours bring the total so far to 22.

Sadly, an unconfirmed report suggests that one of the deaths may relate to a person from the Old Colwyn area.

150 new cases have been reported but as these are now only recorded through hospital admittance, the number of cases in reality are expected to be much higher.

New cases across the whole of the UK have increased significantly in the past 48 hours. It was reported earlier that the Prince of Wales has been tested positively for the virus.

Locally in the Betsi Cadwaladr health authority area there are now a total of 22 recorded cases.

Dr Robin Howe, incident director for the novel coronavirus outbreak response at Public Health Wales, said: “150 new cases have tested positive for novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in Wales, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 628, although the true number of cases is likely to be higher".
