Football: Colwyn Bay bid for seven wins in a row

Colwyn Bay will bid to make it seven away league wins in a row and maintain their top three spot in the JD Cymru North when they travel to Llanfair United on Saturday (2pm kick off).

The Seagulls should have top scorer Mitch Bryant and recent signing Sam Downey available again after suspension and will start favourites to win at Llanfair, who are eight points adrift at the bottom of the table and have managed only one win in the league so far this season.

They are, however, unbeaten in their last two games and twice came from behind to draw 2-2 at home to Llandudno last weekend.

Bay manager Craig Hogg says he was delighted with the performance of his under-strength team, which included two teenagers and with 18-year-old Beau Cornish making his debut, at Llanrhaeadr last Saturday.

"When you are missing big players you want players who come in to do a job and they did that," said Hogg.

"We should have two or three back from suspension and illness this week, but the way the lads played against Llanrhaeadr means I have some tough decisions to make."
