North Wales Police is appealing for information after two sheep died following an attack in Denbighshire.
The animals, which were Teeswater cross Shetlands, were attacked in the Cefn Meiriadog area between Wednesday, October 21 and Thursday, October 22. Both sheep died from their injuries.
The Rural Crime Team is investigating and is asking anyone who may have information about the incident to come forward, quoting reference O173023.
PC Amy Bennett said attacks on livestock can cause considerable distress to farmers, as well as significant financial losses.
She also reminded dog owners of the importance of keeping their pets under control around livestock, particularly when walking in the countryside.
The incident follows other recent reports of sheep attacks across the region, including on Anglesey and near Llanberis.
Police are urging anyone who witnesses a dog worrying livestock, or who has information about suspected attacks, to report it.
