Funding to help young people access football opportunities

Schools and community organizations in Conwy and Denbighshire can now apply for the Football Association of Wales' PAWB Fund.

The fund helps young people in Wales access regular football opportunities and equipment.

Last season, over £50,000 was awarded to 339 families, and this season, over £35,000 has already been given out.

The fund supports grassroots club membership fees, playing kits, impairment-specific equipment, and travel costs. Eligible applicants must be 5-18 years old and nominated by a club or organization based in Wales.

The following items are eligible for support through the fund: 

Grassroots Club Membership Fees
Playing/Club Kits
Impairment Specific Equipment e.g. Sports Goggles
Travel Costs e.g. Train, Bus or Taxi Costs to Training and Match Venues
The fund will support children and families in most need, and will support recipients on an annual basis to ensure they can access regular football opportunities

Eligibility:

The player must live in Wales.                             
The player must be nominated by a club/organisation.                             
The club/organisation must be based in Wales.                                                              
The player must be 5 -18 years old.                                     
The player must play for a club or organisation in Wales.
Schools in Wales can apply on behalf of a pupil or pupils (note: school team playing kits will not be funded).
