Have your say in helping improve cancer services in Conwy

March 03, 2020 - 1606 views

A local group seeking the views of cancer patients and their families are appealing for new members to get involved and help improve services locally.

The Strategic Group of the Cancer Patient Forum has evolved from the original Patient Group set up in 2000 to provide a service user perspective to the North Wales Cancer Network.

Over the years the Group has grown and with the development of the Locality Groups it has taken on a coordinating role, bringing together ideas and information from across the region.

By working in close partnership with North Wales’ cancer services and a range of other organisations, the Strategic Group ensures that the views of patients are being heard and are making a difference.

The Group meets once every two months at Llandrillo College, Rhos on Sea.

Meetings provide an opportunity to discuss and share views. Health Professionals also attend meetings to hear and respond to user views on current ‘hot topics’ in cancer care. Every effort is made to ensure that discussions are conducted using straightforward explanations and plain language.

If you are interested in joining them for one of their future meetings, if only to find out more about what the group does, please get in touch via their website.
