Conwy County Borough Council is expecting increased pressure on recycling operatives and residents due to recent water supply issues and the emergency supply of water in plastic bottles.
To help with recycling, residents are advised to squash plastic bottles, put the lids back on, and use the middle box of their trolibocs. Extra squashed bottles can be placed in see-through bags by the side of the recycling troliblocs.
The council urges residents not to discard plastic bottles in black bags and place in black bins as there will be an added cost for the council to seperate these from non-recyclable rubbish.
Residents can also book a free appointment at the Household Recycling Centres in Mochdre and Abergele.
Businesses are encouraged to speak with their trade waste provider for extra collections.
