Help hungry children on Random Acts of Kindness Day

February 16, 2024 - 403 views

To mark Random Acts of Kindness Day (Saturday, 17 February), international school feeding charity, Mary’s Meals, is reflecting on acts of kindness which have had a life-changing impact.

Mary’s Meals serves school meals to more than 2.4 million hungry children in 18 of the world’s poorest countries every school day.

The promise of a nutritious meal attracts these children into the classroom, giving them the chance to gain an education and hope for a brighter future.

Children in each of the countries where we run our school feeding programmes, such as Ethiopia, Syria and Haiti, face unique and often devastating challenges, including war, famine and natural disaster.

Yet every single day, we witness little acts of love in action here in the UK and acts of kindness which shine light in moments of extreme darkness for these little ones.

On this day, we would ask you to pause for a moment and reflect on how your thoughtful acts of kindness, no matter how small they may be, can change someone’s day, their year or even their life.

It costs £19.15 to feed a child with Mary’s Meals for a school year. Please visit www.marysmeals.org.uk to donate.
