Helping the Welsh voluntary sector with plight of EU citizens

March 06, 2020 - 1518 views

Now that the UK has left the EU, EU citizens who want to stay in the UK beyond 31 December 2020 will need to apply to the EU Settlement Scheme (EUSS).

Government is working with a number of organisations in Wales to offer free additional advice and support for any EU citizen living in Wales, to ease concerns about applying and help bust some myths about the process.

A webinar which is accessible from any computer is being held to help voluntary organisations in North Wales, many of whom will work with vulnerable EU citizens, to cascade out information and hopefully put minds at ease.

Staff should feel confident by the end of this session that they’ll have the answers to service users’ questions about the EUSS, as well as making sure they can refer them on to EUSS projects in Wales for support.

The webinar will run on 24 March 2020, between 11am – 12pm, presented by Newfields Law and TGP Cymru and will tell you everything people need to know about important dates, who needs to apply and when, and what they need to do.

The more people who attend, the better prepared EU citizens will be, so we’d encourage your organisation to get involved.
