Holyhead Port Terminal 3 delay hits local economy again

July 14, 2025 - 528 views

The reopening of Holyhead port has been delayed again, with bad weather conditions cited as the reason for the on-going postponment.

The second berth, Terminal 3, was supposed to reopen at the beginning of July but was subsequently pushed back to tomorrow. That has now been further delayed until Saturday.

The port suffered damage during Storm Darragh in December, causing disruptions for travellers and businesses. The delays have been a setback for local businesses relying on the busy port for transportation and custom.
