Tŷ Gobaith, as part of the Hope House Children's hospices, have welcomed the Welsh Conservatives' pledge for fair funding for all children's hospices starting in 2026.
The hospices, including Tŷ Hafan in South Wales, are calling on all political parties in Wales to commit to funding at least 25% of care costs by 2025 and 30% by 2030.
A spokesperson for the hospices said: "We warmly welcome the announcement from the Welsh Conservatives this Children's Hospice Week, who have become the first party to respond to our call for a fair and sustainable funding settlement for children’s hospices in Wales from 2026.
"A long-term funding uplift would make a real difference – helping us to reach more families and children, in more parts of Wales, with more choice over where and how they receive vital care.
"This new commitment clearly recognises both the urgency of the situation facing vulnerable families and children in Wales, and the value of our services.
"We now urge all political parties to match this ambition and commit to funding children's hospices fairly.
"For too long, Tŷ Gobaith and Tŷ Hafan in Wales have been underfunded – both compared to adult services here, and to children's services in other parts of the UK. This is a question of fairness – and of ensuring no family is left behind."
