Mold-based explorer James McCorkindale is embarking on a challenging journey across the High Arctic on a never-before-done route across Svalbard.
Joined by his friend Lee Graham and experienced Arctic leader Kasper, James will be raising funds for the Ty Gobaith Children's Hospice.
The unsupported journey involves extreme temperatures, frozen landscapes, and pulling a 75kg sled.
Commenting on his admiration for the Conwy based children's hospice, James said: “It’s such a lovely place. So bright and cheerful and not clinical like I expected.
“My youngest is just nine months old and I had a bit of a moment seeing the children in the hospice.
“Let’s make this trip count. Every penny we raise will help give children and families living with a life-threatening condition access to the care that they deserve.”
