A £1.1million project to refurbish Conwy’s fitness facilities is underway, with Llandudno Junction Leisure Centre the first of four refurbishments to be completed.

Llandudno Junction Leisure Centre now offers the latest fitness facilities for all capabilities and fitness levels. The gym has been equipped with a brand new state-of-the-art Technogym equipment, and a former squash court and the first floor balcony have been converted into practical training areas.

The investment will support the highly successful National Exercise Referral Scheme and Cardiac Rehabilitation programme, and help attract new customers and Junior Ffit Conwy members.

Cllr Louise Emery, Cabinet Member is responsible for Leisure, said, “Encouraging people in Conwy to be healthy and active is a Council priority.

"Having the latest fitness equipment available to use at affordable prices is an important step in achieving this. The new facilities at Llandudno Junction look great, and I’m looking forward to the other three schemes being completed.”

There’s a wide range of payments options for Conwy residents and visitors, and Ffit Conwy memberships are excellent value.
