Llandudno’s all-weather lifeboat has come home from Poole in Dorset after a significant upgrade.
Llandudno's Shannon William F Yates has raised crew spirits with a return to station and active duty.
Station Mechanic Luke Heritage explained, "It's nice to have our boat back on station. The ALB has now been fitted with AVX3, which is the newer jet management system which further enhances the fantastic capabilities of the boat."
The Shannon is the latest class of all-weather lifeboat to join the RNLI fleet. She’s the first modern all-weather lifeboat to be propelled by waterjets instead of traditional propellers, making her our most agile and manoeuvrable all-weather lifeboat yet.
During The Shannon's absence William F Yates was brought to Llandudno from the Fleetwood station.
