Llandudno have been crowned champions of the JD Cymru North after a commanding 4-1 victory over Guilsfield FC on Easter Monday, sealing a remarkable season in style at the Go Goodwins Stadium.
Knowing that a win would put them beyond the reach of title rivals Airbus UK Broughton FC, the Seasiders delivered a performance full of confidence and control, extending their winning run to 11 league matches and confirming their place at the top.
It caps a superb campaign for Llandudno FC, who have lost just once in 28 league games. Their dominance has been clear at both ends of the pitch, scoring 70 goals while boasting the best defensive record in the division with only 17 conceded.
The success has been built on consistency and momentum, with Llandudno also making an impact in cup competitions. They reached the semi-finals of the Nathaniel MG Cup and produced a standout result in the JD Welsh Cup by knocking out last season’s runners-up, Connah’s Quay Nomads FC.
At the heart of the transformation is manager Jordan Hadaway, who at just 24 years old is the youngest boss in the Cymru Leagues. Since taking charge three years ago, he has overseen a complete rebuild of the squad. After guiding the club away from relegation in his first season, he has now turned them into the standout side in the division.
On the pitch, experience and attacking quality have played a key role. Veteran forward Mark Cadwallader has led by example with 15 goals, while Adam Stephens has also made a major contribution with 11.
Having secured a top-three finish as early as March, the title win confirms Llandudno’s return to the JD Cymru Premier for the first time in seven years, subject to final licensing approval.
For supporters in North Wales, it marks a significant moment, with the club’s rise reflecting both strong leadership off the pitch and a team that has delivered week in, week out.
