Lifeboat crews in the county have continued to have a busy weekend following a number of local incidents.

Over Saturday Bayside reported the story of Tug the Cocker Spaniel who was safely rescued after falling from rocks in the Angel Bay area.

On Saturday evening Llandudno’s volunteer lifeboat crew, were tasked to launch by Holyhead Coastguard. They were required to go to the assistance of a 37ft sailing vessel which had suffered mechanical failure and was anchored approx. one-mile North of Conwy Morfa.

Arriving on the scene the Llandudno Lifeboat William F Yates was able to establish that the five persons on board were all fit and well. The Coxswain assessed the situation prior to undertaking a tow, and made the decision that a tow was necessary and the safest way to assist the casualties.

After securing a towline the Llandudno Lifeboat proceeded up-channel into the River Conwy to place the yacht on a safe mooring at Conwy Marina.
