Fresh investment is set to improve parts of Llandudno’s town centre after funding was secured to upgrade public spaces used by residents and visitors.

Llandudno Town Council has announced it has secured £15,000 in funding through the UK Government’s regeneration programme to carry out improvements on Mostyn Street and at North Western Gardens.

The project will see the replacement of railings on Mostyn Street, including those located between Lloyds Bank and GO Outdoors, as well as railings near the Cats Protection shop.

As part of the scheme, benches at North Western Gardens will also be refurbished, helping to improve a popular green space close to the town centre.

The works have been commissioned by Llandudno Town Council, which has provided match funding to support the improvements.

Replacement of the railings is scheduled to begin during the week commencing 9 March 2026, with the bench refurbishment programme due to take place in April.

Town councillors say the upgrades will help maintain the appearance of key areas in the resort while ensuring public spaces remain welcoming and safe.

Llandudno is one of North Wales’ most popular seaside destinations, attracting large numbers of visitors each year to its Victorian promenade, shopping streets and nearby attractions.

Council representatives said the latest investment is part of ongoing efforts to maintain the town centre and enhance facilities for both residents and tourists, ensuring Llandudno continues to offer an attractive environment for people to shop, relax and enjoy the area.

The improvements are expected to be completed later this spring.
