Enterprising students from Coleg Llandrillo recently attended an entrepreneurial masterclass by a prominent business development specialist.

Level 3 and higher education (degree level) students from across the college's Rhos-on-Sea campus were involved in an illuminating seminar with Lowri Roberts, who was representing Business Wales.

The intense one-day course was aimed at students from all departments within the college who are interested in starting their own business.

The programme aimed to guide the students into the planning stage of how to start a business, and attendees will now receive further support from Business Wales in the form of mentoring, guidance and the opportunity to attend further courses.

Lowri Roberts is a business consultant who specialises in financial planning, business plans and dynamic marketing.

Coleg Llandrillo has a proud history of successes in national enterprise competitions, and also has a dedicated enterprise officer. Last month, four Level 3 Business students went down to Cardiff to compete in the Youth Enterprise all-Wales finals. They came away with a gold and silver in the 'Innovation Award' and 'Company of the Year' categories respectively.
