Headteachers from across Conwy have issued a joint press release today to recognise the endeavours of local pupils during a very unprecedented and difficult time.

"We write this letter jointly as Conwy Secondary Headteachers to recognise the collective endeavours of all our year 13 pupils this year.

"We are very proud of all the hard work that our pupils have put into their A Level work and of their maturity, resilience and perseverance in the light of an unprecedented final year of education in our schools as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic.

We are delighted with their achievements and wish them all the best in their future pathways: university, further education, apprenticeships or work. We know that their experiences at our schools over the years have helped prepare them for the challenges and successes that lie ahead of them.

"We would also like to recognise the hard work of our staff in preparing all our pupils and ensuring that this year’s very different assessment processes were met.

"We thank our parents, communities and governors for their support in ensuring the achievements and success of all our pupils. Well done, year 13, and all the best for your future successes!"
