Macclesfield Male Voice Choir have announced that they will be visiting and performing in our community early next month.
They will welcome audiences from right across Conwy to a special concert at The Holy Trinity Church, Mostyn Street, Llandudno on Sunday 4thAugust.
The Choir, under the inspirational musical direction of their young, RNCM trained Welsh conductor, Robert Owens, continues to build on their past strengths and have worked tirelessly throughout the year to provide their audiences with a musical experience of the very highest standard.
Appearances in the last twelve months have included competing against choirs from around the world at The International Eisteddfod in Llangollen and also at The Manchester Amateur Choral Competition at The Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester in addition to a range of more local concerts.
As ever, for this concert, expect songs to suit all tastes ranging from classical male voice pieces through to ‘Songs from the Shows’ and all this in addition to dramatic arrangements of both secular and sacred pieces.
The choir and soloists will be accompanied by the highly regarded Ukraine born pianist, Tatyana Goncharuk, who has won many awards both in the Ukraine and here in the UK.
Choir Chairman, Harry Newton, says ‘’Our choir is committed to ensuring that Macclesfield can feel extremely proud of its very own male voice choir. Robert and Tatyana bring an extraordinary level of musicianship to our rehearsals and are totally dedicated to getting the very best out of each and every one of us.
We leave each of our rehearsals on a real ‘musical high’ and know that we are achieving new levels of choral singing which will be enjoyed by our audiences.
We are extremely excited about our concert in Llandudno on Sunday 4thAugust 2019, and we are certain it will be ‘one to remember’ and that we will do ourselves proud and provide visitors to the town with a very special evening of music-making.’’
The Choir hopes that the North Walians will give them their full support by joining them at their concert and enjoy a very special musical occasion.
The concert starts at 8pm and tickets, priced at £8, will be available on the door and also available by telephoning John Wilkin on 07881 853104.
