Man who died in Llandudno collision named as local doctor

North Wales Police have named the person who sadly died in a recent road collision outside Llandudno as a well-respected, long serving doctor.

75 year old Dr Dawid Oberholzer, of Llys Onnen, Llandudno Junction passed away following a two vehicle RTC on the A470 link road on the afternoon of Tuesday 19th October.

The driver of the second vehicle was taken to hospital and later released with minor injuries.

Sgt Raymond Williams of the Roads Policing Unit said: "Dr Oberholzer was a highly respected, well known medical professional, who had worked in the Mental Health sector in North West Wales for several years. Born in South Africa, he relocated to the UK about 20 years ago.

"He died shortly after leaving Bodysgallen Spa, and we are grateful for all the witnesses and members of the public who have come forward with information.

"I would particularly like to speak to any close friends and family members of Dr Oberholzer in connection with our ongoing investigation into this tragic incident.
