A weather warning for the West coast of Wales has been issued this morning by the Met Office, following a damp start to Thursday.

The yellow 'be-aware' warning for high winds which relates to Gwynedd, Anglesey and parts of Conwy comes into force on Thursday afternoon at 15:00 and will be active until 21:00 on Friday.

Windy weather may lead to some travel disruption and possibly some structural damage.

People living on high ground are more vulnerable and a reminder has gone out to householders to secure garden furniture or any objects that could be easily damaged in the wind.

The outlook for the weekend in the Bay and along the coast is mainly rain with temperatures falling to as low as 11 degrees celcius.

By Thursday or Friday of next week, high pressure is expected to make the weather feel milder although sunny weather and higher temperatures are not expected until the start of June.
