A motorcyclist has tragically died after a collision with a tractor on the A470 at Maenan near Llanrwst.
The police are investigating the cause of the crash yesterday afternoon and are seeking witnesses or dash cam footage. Shortly before 4pm officers responded to a report of a road traffic collision.
Members of the public had stopped to assist including two off-duty Paramedics, however despite the best efforts of everyone involved the motorcyclist was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
Detective Constable Peter Colley of North Wales Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit is appealing for information. He said: “Our thoughts remain with the man’s family at this difficult time.
“The investigation to establish the cause of the collision is underway and we are appealing to anybody who may have witnessed the collision and who are yet to speak to us, to contact us immediately.
“We are also urging anybody who may have been travelling along the A470 around the time of the collision and who may have dash cam footage to contact us.”

Detective Constable Peter Colley has appealed for information and expressed condolences to the victim's family. The next of kin and the coroner have been informed.
