Conwy town attracts many visitors annually to events like the Pirate Festival and Honey Fayre, making it a key destination in Wales.
The politician intervened with a letter and said it was likely that without her action, it was likely that the train would not have stopped in the town.
The direct service will provide an international gateway for visitors and improve public transport access to the area.
