The Football Association of Wales has announced the launch of a major new streaming platform that will transform access to domestic football across the country.

The FAW has confirmed the introduction of Cymru Football TV, a subscription service that will become the exclusive home for live coverage of all Cymru Premier matches, offering supporters unprecedented access to the Welsh top flight.

The platform will stream every match from the Cymru Premier live, marking a significant shift from previous broadcast arrangements and expanding coverage far beyond the limited number of televised games available in past seasons.

Alongside league fixtures, subscribers will also be able to watch selected domestic cup ties, Cymru national team age-group matches, and FAW-produced documentaries. Domestic cup draw events will be made available free-to-air, with further content expected to be added as the platform develops.

The first live action on Cymru Football TV will come from Wales’ representatives in Europe, with UEFA Conference League first qualifying round ties involving Caernarfon Town FC, Connah’s Quay Nomads FC and Penybont FC scheduled for the week commencing Monday 6 July.

Supporters will be able to subscribe for £99.99 for a season pass, £12.99 monthly, or £8.99 per individual match. A 14-day free trial will also be available until 23:59 BST on Sunday 12 July, giving fans temporary free access to selected European fixtures, cup games, and Welsh Cup qualifying action.

FAW officials say the move represents a major step forward in the visibility and commercial development of domestic football in Wales. Jack Sharp, FAW Head of Domestic Leagues, said the shift from 28 televised matches a season to full coverage of every Cymru Premier fixture will fundamentally change how fans engage with the league.

He added that the platform has been designed with long-term growth in mind, with future reinvestment linked to audience growth and supporter feedback, alongside a redistribution model ensuring clubs benefit directly from supporter subscriptions.

The FAW also confirmed that a new free-to-air broadcast deal for the Cymru Premier will be announced separately in due course, alongside continued investment in expanding coverage of Welsh domestic competitions.

In North Wales especially, the move is expected to boost exposure for clubs and bring more consistent coverage to supporters who have traditionally relied on limited televised fixtures or matchday attendance.
