A long-term investment of £19 million, over the lifetime of the wind farm, the Clocaenog Forest Wind Farm Fund is supporting communities within the rural area of Conwy and Denbighshire to accomplish amazing things.
The fund is flexible so that it can meet the differing needs and ambitions of communities across the area. It focuses on the following themes:
- Prosperous Communities
- Health and Wellbeing
- The Economy
- Conservation and the Environment
- Digital
All themes are in line with the Well-Being of Future Generations (Wales) Act 2015 and aim to help businesses with grant support in the more rural parts of the two counties.
The fund is independently administered by Community & Voluntary Support Conwy (CVSC). CVSC employ a full time, locally based fund manager. Decisions on the allocation of funds are made by a grants panel of people who live, work or volunteer in the funds area of benefit.
