New programme aims to improve lives of over 50s in Conwy

September 06, 2021 - 734 views

A community focused scheme aimed at improving wellbeing with the over 50s has been launched by a local mental health charity.

'My Generation' is the brainchild of Abergele based Conwy Mind and through a series of face-to-face workshops, local participants over 50 can discover new ways of improving wellbeing, build resilience, and reduce isolation and loneliness.

There are a combination of activities, and a chance to learn new skills as part of the sessions. Maybe you have experienced loss, or have unhelpful thoughts? 'My Generation' will help you cope with these feelings and emotions.

The free programme is coming to Community Centres in Colwyn Bay, Pemmaenmawr, Abergele, and Llandudno (Craig y Don and Ty Llewelyn) this Autumn with face to face, socially distanced activities.

The first session begins tomorrow, Tuesday 7th September from 10 until 12 at Ty Llywellyn, Llandudno.

The sessions in Colwyn Bay begin at St Joseph's Church, Community Centre, Colwyn Bay on 21st September for eight weeks from 2pm to 4pm.
