Identical twin adventurers, Hugo and Ross Turner, will depart on a unique seven-month journey from London to Shanghai, that will see them reinvent the Silk Road for the 21st century by travelling 10,000 miles across continents in an electric car.
The Devon-born brothers, whose expeditions include rowing across the Atlantic Ocean and traversing Greenland’s Ice Cap, will undertake the mammoth range anxiety-inducing road trip in MG’s newly unveiled all electric Cyberster a sports car with a 0-60 of 2.8 seconds.
North Wales is the Turner brothers’ next stop on their 10,000 mile road trip to Shanghai.
On Saturday 23rd September, the twins arrive in North Wales, making a visit to Caernarfon Castle, taking in the incredible view of Yr Wyddfa, driving Llanberis Pass and Llanidloes to Machynlleth mountain road.
Hugo and Ross are on a mission to help people to learn about our world through new technology and purposeful expeditions.
Their drive for exploration was born at a time of disaster, when in 2007, Hugo narrowly missed paralysis after breaking his neck in a diving accident.
Ross and Hugo have since gone on to complete many expeditions which include rowing the Atlantic Ocean, attempting to cross the Greenland Ice Cap, climbing Mt. Elbrus and reaching several of the world’s continental poles of inaccessibility.
