Motorcyclists from across North Wales are being invited to gear up for a special rider safety seminar as part of this weekend’s police open day in Colwyn Bay.

The event, hosted by North Wales Police, takes place at police headquarters on Saturday 23 May between 10am and 5pm and will feature a packed programme of demonstrations, exhibits and advice sessions for all ages.

One of the highlights of the day will be a dedicated motorcycle seminar aimed at both new and experienced riders, focusing on safer riding techniques, roadcraft advice and information about the national BikeSafe scheme.

Visitors will also have the chance to put questions directly to a panel featuring representatives from BikeSafe, IAM and North Wales Police.

A number of motorcycling organisations and charities will also be attending, including Mental Health Motorbike, RoSPA, DocBike, Biker Down and Blood Bikes.

Organisers say a dedicated motorcycle parking area will be available in the Alex House car park near the headquarters site and will be clearly signposted for riders arriving on two wheels.

The wider open day will give the public the opportunity to meet officers, explore police vehicles and specialist equipment, and learn more about the work carried out by departments across the force.

The event takes place at North Wales Police Headquarters, Glan-y-Don, Colwyn Bay, LL29 8AW.

More information and the full programme timetable can be found via North Wales Police Open Day information.
