North Wales Police have issued an important message to local football fans concerning Colwyn Bay's Boxing Day game away to Bangor 1876.

Officers have confirmed that they will be patrolling at the Cymru North football fixture being played at Nantporth on Boxing Day, kick off 12:30pm.

Temporary Inspector Andy Davies said: “Officers will be patrolling the city centre, upper Bangor, and stadium areas to support the event and assist in the safe arrival and departure of supporters.

“Those who are travelling by car, please utilise the designated onsite parking at the stadium and University car parks. Please note that there will be no permitted parking along Holyhead Road.

“The fixture will be by payment on the gate only. Supporters for each side will be segregated and managed by club stewards and SIA security. Please note that there will be no sale or consumption of alcohol at any time whilst inside the ground.

“We hope that everyone attending the boxing day fixture enjoys the game. However, I would remind supporters from both clubs to always act responsibly and respectfully of each other.”
