Many parts of North Wales have been impacted by flooding overnight as a result of Storm Francis which swept through the country yesterday afternoon and overnight.
Six people in Abergwyngregyn were evacuated by rescue services in the early hours with the worst flooding seen in the village and heavy rain brought more misery to Gwydir Castle in Llanrwst which has seen countless floods over many years.
The A5 between Nant Ffrancon and Capel Curig in Snowdonia was closed due to a landslide, and the A55 at Llanfairfechan was blocked due to flooding.
Local roads are being checked and cleared for falling debris and some are being safety checked for slippage after a night of intense rain.
Storm Francis has presented many local authorities with some of the worst weather experienced in North Wales since Storm Ciara swept into the area in March causing serious and extensive flooding particularly in the Conwy Valley area.
